Jonathan V. Galaviz
Mr. Galaviz guides clients like Goldman Sachs, Caesars Entertainment, and United Airlines to think better, act faster, and put strategies into action quickly. He advises Fortune 500 company clients on digital strategy, predictive data sciences, political analysis, and Asia-Pacific government affairs.
Jonathan’s first job was at the U.S. Senate in Washington DC assigned to the office of U.S. Senator Pete Domenici (R-New Mexico) in 1996 while finishing up college. From 1998 to 2002 he was a Consulting Manager at Whitman-Hart, a 4,000-person technology services firm and was based in the San Francisco downtown office where he consulted to leading Silicon Valley companies. Mr. Galaviz then worked for Mandalay Resort Group (MGM Resorts International) as a Senior Project Analyst in the corporate technology group. Since late 2002 Mr. Galaviz been under the Global Market Advisors (GMA) platform and manages multiple consulting practices in the firm.
Mr. Galaviz has taught strategy, digital media, accounting, and economics at the university level at various institutions as a guest lecturer. He also served as Interim Head of Campus (Dean) for the University of Nevada’s (UNLV) campus in Singapore to conduct a special financial situation turnaround in 2011 – he successfully completed the turnaround in less than a year.
For the last 12+ years, Jonathan has frequently appeared on CNBC, BBC, ChannelNewsAsia, and Bloomberg TV providing analysis of global strategic and economic issues.
He holds an MBA from Oxford University (England) and is a graduate of the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI). In 1997, Mr. Galaviz studied Asia-Pacific finance at the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a foreign exchange student under scholarship.
In 2000 he completed the Managing Technology and Strategic Innovation executive education program at Stanford GSB.
