Illinois Mobile Sports Betting Rules Reaching A State Of Confusion

Pritzker issued an executive order Thursday that would allow sports bettors to register remotely for wagering accounts, he, along with the Illinois Gaming Board, created some confusion.  The IGB, which earlier in the week proposed clarifications on sports betting branding, initially appeared to be at odds with how long the executive order to allow remote registration will be in place.

As the brick and mortar gaming world fell silent in response to the coronavirus, many online gaming operations continued throughout the pandemic.  However, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and President Rodrigo Duterte also shuttered the Philippine Online Gaming Operators (POGOs) in the middle of March in response to the outbreak.  POGOs have made a sizeable impact financially to the Philippines, with revenues increasing by more than 13% from 2018 to 2019.

Las Vegas casino reopening ‘major milestone’ for city, industry

A number of Las Vegas casinos are just a little over a week away from reopening their doors.

On Tuesday evening, Gov. Steve Sisolak confirmed that he’s comfortable with casinos reopening June 4, adding that the state’s Gaming Control Board would provide more details on reopening requirements on Wednesday.  The date – first annouced last week – comes more than two months after casinos were initially ordered to close.
